Place des Vosges: Paris oldest square

Marais is very much like Melbourne on a quiet winter day. Yes there are many cool boutiques but the area still very much feels like home or shall I say a family place. The shops and cafes stretches in between with hidden mansions tucked in the middle. Place des Vosges is Paris oldest square and Henri VI commissioned it as a place for jousting tournaments. Beautiful, private and discreet, and Issey Miyake has his studio there...aaahhh (sigh)

The buildings' red brick trademark
Tried to look chic...

Outside the square...
I like the red chairs, the hanging lamp and the detail up the door. Everything looked so ordinary but pretty...
